A Bit of German, Please?
Anyone good with dog-show German? I've mostly got an idea of what Ringo's critique today said, but some words elude me, probably because I haven't transcribed them right. This is what I've got:

Mittelgros. Rotgold gestromt. Guter oberkopf und passender fang. Braune auger, kleine schneidezähre. Sehr gute hals. Tiefe brust. Varne gut hinter. Sehr gut gevinkelt. Freie bewegang.

Not sure about "schneidezähre" and "varne" mainly, and I am sure some of the other words are horribly misspelt too, heh.

My knowledge of German could extremely flatteringly be described as spotty, but could your "schneidezähre" be "schneiderzähne" - cutter teeth, or incisors?

Ah-ha! Yes, that could be it. So, a little small? Darn, if they were any larger, he would have eaten us long ago. ;)

i would like to help. but the last time i tgried my hands at "dog latin", I failed.

E is right of course Schneidezähne == incisors
Varne gut hinter makes no sense to me, sorry. Varne *might* mean vorne == front if one assumes that hinter (or hinten?) == rear. But I cant make anyithing of that sentence

I think you are correct. The sentence should probably be:

Vorne gut, hinter sehr gut gewinkelt. --> The front (angles) are good, the hindquarter angles are very good.

Its rather abbreviated how the write the critiques at ringside, so you get some odd sentences.

I'm told your judge is not a native German. Anyway:

"Middle size, Redgold streaked. Good upper Head and adequate fang. Brown eyes, small Incisors. Very good neck. Deep breast. (next sentence makes no sense), after that it says "very good ankled" (whatever it means), Free movement."

Thank you. :)

The judge is definitely a native German. :) However, critiques are written by hand, so I may very well have some letters wrong here and there.
